The Perfect Toronto Getway

We spent two days in Toronto for the Linen Whispers collection shoot. Between two to three outfits, we explored the city Mimz-style: art, design, foodie spots, and cozy atmospheres. Here are my recommendations for a stylish little getaway.

Stay at the Gladstone House – The Art of Stylish Accommodation

During our stay in Toronto, we stayed at the Gladstone House—a boutique hotel with incomparable charm located on Queen Street West. I truly fell in love with the place.

The century-old building combines historic architecture with contemporary design, with a strong focus on local art. Each room is unique, designed like a miniature gallery, and the common areas—from the library to the bar—showcase design with great care.

As a boutique hotel enthusiast, I wholeheartedly recommend Gladstone House for a stylish, inspiring, and cozy stay. A true gem in the heart of Toronto.

🍸 Speakeasy night at the Goodnight Cocktail Club

Hidden on Wellington Street, this speakeasy is truly worth a visit. Dim lighting, refined cocktails, and a carefully curated music selection perfectly complement the décor. The ideal spot to end a busy day.

Address: 488 Wellington St W, Toronto, ON M5V 1E3

🍝 Diner at Café Renée

Café Renée immediately reminded me of L’Artusi, my favorite restaurant in New York—same chic-casual vibe, same attention to detail. Huge love for their giant ravioli (yes, the one everyone’s posting online): tender, generous, absolutely out of this world. No wonder it went viral. A spot that perfectly blends Franco-Italian finesse with neighborhood charm. I’d go back with my eyes closed.

Address : 100 Portland St, Toronto, ON M5V 2N2

☕ Café at the Café Belém

After the photoshoot, we stopped by Café Belém—and we were clearly not the only ones. The moment we walked in, we understood the hype. Warm ambiance, Portugal-inspired décor, and a simple yet polished atmosphere that just makes you want to slow down. The perfect spot to unwind in style, coffee in hand.

Address :  546 College St, Toronto, ON M6G 1B1

🌇 Cocktails at the Drake Hotel

We stopped by the Drake Hotel for a drink and to soak up the late-afternoon sun—the terrace was open, though not the famous Sky Yard rooftop. That said, the charm is undeniable. If you happen to visit on a day when Sky Yard is accessible, it’s definitely a must for the perfect golden hour.

Address : 1150 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6J 1J3

🍷 Diner at Martine’s Wine Bar

To end our stay on a high note, we chose Martine’s Wine Bar—mainly for its cozy, impeccably curated décor (a major favorite). Intimate atmosphere, attentive service, and bistro-style dishes that are simple yet expertly prepared. A lovely way to close the day, glass of wine in hand.

Address : 293 Palmerston Ave, Toronto, ON M6J 2J3

Two busy days in Toronto, filled with outfits, discoveries, and great spots. We’re leaving inspired (and definitely with way too many photos and videos on our phones). If you’re visiting the city soon, keep our favorites in mind—they’re truly worth it.
